BestI believe that this is my best photograph from this block, as it really links to the photographer I chose to look at for close ups. The depth of field is set just so that you can see the natural detail in the seaweed, and the lighting is perfect as it extenuates the shadowing of the image. The composition is set well as it highlights the natural feel of the seaweed.

WorstI think that this is my worst photograph from this block, as it doesn't really link to my chosen photographer. The photo has a very dull lighting, which makes the image boring in my opinion. The depth of field is quite randomly set too, as it's hard to tell which part of the photograph is in focus and which isn't.

BestI believe that this is my best photograph from this block of photos because it links very well to Baird's works. The crashing wave stretching across the whole photograph, and being in the center is almost identical to Baird's. The depth of field is also set very well, as the wave is seen in complete focus... I used a medium d.o.f to achieve this.

WorstI think that this is the worst photograph from this bank of images I took because of the depth of field. The image is not in clear focus, as the little wave is blurred and not really visible. This photograph also does not link to my photographer, as the wave is not only too small, it is also not in focus or across the middle of the frame.

BestI believe that this photo is the best from this bank of images because the shadows are evenly spaced and clearly defined. The smooth, crisp edges of the shadows are a clear link Antonio's style. The depth of field is set really well, as not only the shadows are in focus, the grass in the background is too.

WorstI think that this is the worst photograph from this bank of images, as the shadows aren't in focus, and their edges aren't crisp, so they blend into the grass. They are also quite closely compacted together, so you can't really decipher each individual shadow... this is the exact opposite to Antonio's works.

BestI believe that this is the best photograph that I took from this block of images, as the exposure, lighting, angle and depth of field are set at a very professional level. I also think that this pictures links very well to Zipper's works, as I have captured both the sea and the cliff face, yet I have still incorporated my own angle into the image.
|
WorstI think that this is the worst picture that I took from this bank of images, as it is slightly over exposed due to an incorrectly set white balance, and the image is at a slightly offset angle which I believe makes the photograph lose its professionalism and overall aesthetic feel... because of this, the image doesn't really link to Zipper's works.

BestI believe that this is the best photograph from this bank of photographs, as it clearly links to Simonia's photograph. I love how the dew drop on the single blade of grass is in complete focus, as it is perfectly centered and is the clear main focal point of the image. The lighting and ISO has been set strategically as well, as certain blades of grass capture the light and reflect it, whereas others dodge the light entirely, creating the nostalgic atmosphere.
|
WorstI think that this is the worst photograph I took from this bank of images because it doesn't really link to Simonia's works, and it just barely fits into the 'close-ups' category. Whereas the image is not too nor under exposed, it doesn't really capture my attention, and it should do. I attempted to make the thin tree trunk the main focal point of the photograph, however my eyes are drawn to the blue metal wall behind it, and that doesn't help the image in any way.
